Born to the proud parents of Java and Bali Tiger, Tee-Jay weighed over 95 pounds upon delivery at the historical Bengal Tiger Hospital in India. An athletic and intelligent cub, Tee-Jay quickly became one of the top tigers at Kingdom Prep High School. Upon graduating from KP High in the to 5% of his class, his parents felt that his educational experience would be best served abroad, perhaps in the United States. Once he came to America, he enrolled at Edward Waters College.
From his freshman through his senior years, his school spirit at athletic events was undeniable, and witnessed by the entire college and surrounding community. Because of his love for his school, in 1954, the student body unanimously named him as the school’s mascot.
Since that time, Tee-Jay has served as the proud ambassador of Edward Waters College in many capacities and roles. A very friendly and fun-loving “cat”, he is always willing to entertain and take photos with children and adults of all ages!
